Where have I gone?
This summer and fall is about to get really busy. My family is moving to the country. Not far away at all, just 20 minutes from downtown; however, we will have a lot of new projects to undertake. We have a house to make our own, some land to put to work as we see […]
Halloween Costume Preview!
Took a break from editing to snap a few photos of my own kids as they debuted the Halloween costumes that my mom sewed and assembled for the kids based on their specific requests. Hope everyone has a great time trick or treating tomorrow night.
My own sneak peek!
I went out with my family to shoot photos for our holiday card, er, I mean to go apple picking. The weather was unseasonably warm and I couldn’t find the sweater I originally envisioned for Ben; but I have learned to not worry about such things. Three month pile of triplet cuteness

Weekend shower!
It might have rained all day Sunday but in my house Saturday was the big shower. On Saturday afternoon my husband and I co-hosted a baby shower for our dear friends who are soon to be parents of triplets! We had a great time working with the sister of the mom-to-be and another friend to […]
Author Photos
Prior to my life as a child and family photographer I was a PhD candidate at the University of Minnesota. My days were spent reading, writing, and teaching. At the time I thought I wanted to be a professor. I enjoyed my seven years in graduate school. I knew I would be a good teacher […]
Spring texture
I like the color that dandelions bring to the world in spring. The vibrant yellow just wakes everyone out of winter’s coma. However, the shift that occurs when dandelions go to seed excites me. I love the texture of a dandelion clock.
