Anticipating – not a maternity post!

As much as I love taking photos of kids and families and babies, I also like to explore other avenues of my photography. For several years a group of photographers has gotten together in a master class to challenge and critique one another each Tuesday nights for a couple of months of the year. They gather and put themselves and their photos up on the wall and wait for the comments. I love the assignments that allow me to take photos that are not of people and to explore aspects of photography that I don’t encounter in my daily work. I thought I would share this photo because it is a hybrid of my work with children and the class. For this assignement we were to photograph something that evoked an emotion – it would have been easy for me to go with something like love, concern, adoration etc. These things I see in families each day; but here I was going for something different. What do you see in this photo.
